Come join Snorkel & Dive Safari for a trip to dive the famous Solitary Islands! For those of you who have not dived here before, you will be pleasantly surprised by the diversity of diving around the 5 islands located in the Solitary Islands Marine Park!

The islands boast excellent subtropical diving with approximately 80 different types of hard corals, soft corals and abundant tropical and pelagic fish life. In summer there are even spotting of Manta Rays and Spotted Eagle Rays! A spectacular feature of North Solitary Island is it’s extensive Clown Fish and Anemone beds which carpet the floors of many dive sites. You will also have the pleasure of encountering many beautiful species of marine life, including Turtles, Spanish Dancers, many colourful tropical fish and much more. These islands provide fantastic opportunities for the photography enthusiast and divers to all levels of certification will find the diversity of marine life unique and astounding. The many dive sites located around the Northern Solitaries provide endless opportunities to encounter new and exciting marine creatures on every dive, which will make your experience memorable!

We will meet at the shop at 12:00 on Friday 23/2 to gear up, pack the scuba bus and prepare for take off. The trip up to the Solitary Islands area takes about 5 hours, so bring snacks, drinks and music! We will plan to arrive at the dive shop at around 18:00, just in time to check in, get comfy and head to the pub for a feed before our big weekend of diving. We meet in the shop on Saturday morning at a bright and early 07:30 to prepare for our double dive. Refreshments will be served at our surface interval in between dives and we aim to be back to the dive shop around 14:00, depending on dive sites chosen and dive times completed. On returning from the shop, we will have the afternoon to relax, explore and have a meal together in the evening! Sunday will run on a similar schedule to Saturday and we will prepare for our trek home after our second dive.

Accommodation is bunk style accommodation with a fully equipped kitchen for you to cook up anything you would like during your stay! A continental style breakfast will be provided to those who prefer to take a break from cooking for the weekend.

Come join us for one of Australia’s best cave dives – Fish Rock Cave! The cave runs 125 metres right through Fish Rock and is home to a completely unique ecosystem!

The shallow entrance of Fish Rock Cave at a depth of 12 metres is teeming with enough life to fill an entire dive. You can even go up into the bubble cave and talk to your dive buddy while being five metres underwater!

The deep entrance of Fish Rock Cave at 24 metres often offers sightings of resident black cod, large wobbegong sharks, black rays and giant cuttle fish before ascending up one of the two chimneys into the main section of the cave.

Grey Nurse Sharks can be seen at Fish Rock all year round – an awesome diving experience for even the most seasoned diver!

We will be meeting at the dive shop on Friday 16/3 at 12:00 to pack up and get ready for take off in the Scuba Bus and arriving at our destination just in time for dinner! We are scheduled to do 2 dives on Saturday and 2 dives on Sunday before making our trek home.

What is included :

– 2 nights in bunk style accommodation and linen for up to 10 guests (private double bed style accommodation available on request)
– Transportation is available between Swansea and Southwest Rocks for up to 8 guests (first come, first serve)

– 4 x Nitrox cylinders (steel/ally, yoke/DIN – your choice!)

What you will need :
– Minimum certification level – Open Water
– All of your own gear, except for cylinders/weights (rentals are available if required)

The total cost for this trip is only $375 and spaces are limited to 9 divers!

Full payment or cash deposits of $175 are required to hold bookings. The remaining balance can be paid on the Friday morning before departure.
