The stunning jetty at Catherine Hill Bay is the last remaining coal loading jetty of its kind in Australia and is the reason for the existence of the State Heritage listed township of Catherine Hill Bay. The coal mined at Catherine Hill Bay was transported by ship to the Coal Loader at Waverton in Sydney Harbour and the coal was essential to the early growth of the city.
Join us for a social dive under the historical coal loader! We will be meeting at the shop at 9:00 to gear up and get ready, aiming to be at the coal loader by 10:00 and in the water no later than 11:00!
Only $30 for a guide if required. Our active club members can be guided at no cost!
Call, email or message the shop to let us know if you can make it!
